Learning Braille has opened up my world. As an adult having to learn to live a completely new life can be challenging. Braille gives me the ability to live an independent life again

The work done at Braille House to support children and adults who are blind or have low vision to achieve their life’s goals needs resources – that is money and people power.

There are a number of ways you can get involved and play your part to ensure access and inclusion for everyone.

The first time I came to Braille House was because of print books, back when a second-hand bookshop filled the upstairs of the Queenslander in Annerley. Testimonials

My daughter had so much fun participating in the Braille Awareness Show at Ipswich Library. She loved finding the letters of her name in braille. It really started a conversation with our family about accessibility for all. My kids now love finding braille in lifts and on signs.
