Braille House exists to empower people of all ages who are blind or have low vision through alternative formats. Our goal is to ensure that everyone can access knowledge and information through touch literacy.

You can join as a Financial Member and / or become a Library Borrower.

Financial Membership Inclusions

Financial membership is $25 for individuals and $40 per family. Memberships are renewable from 1 January each year and entitles you to receive:

Voting Rights

As a valued member, you will have the opportunity to shape Braille House's future by exercising your voting rights at the Annual General Meeting and other special meetings.

Exclusive Event Invites

Stay informed with exclusive invitations to our events and community workshops. You’ll be the first to know about opportunities to connect, learn, and engage with Braille House.

We respect our members’ privacy, and membership details are never shared with third parties. To become a Financial Member, simply download the Braille House Financial Membership Application Form, complete it, and email it to us.

Library Borrower Inclusions

Unlimited Library Access

Members enjoy unlimited borrowing from our vast library, filled with braille and tactile resources. Whether for learning or leisure, our collection offers a world of knowledge at your fingertips.

Two Categories of Library Borrowing

Borrowers join as an individual, or community membership (such as a school).

Specially Produced Magazines

Library borrowers can opt in to receive the quarterly In Touch Magazine designed for adults, or the Touch Base Magazine designed for younger readers (aged 6-16). Produced by Braille House, the magazines are filled with stories and updates, specially curated for members who are blind or have low vision. Stay connected with the latest from Braille House.
