Braille House Presentations

Have you ever wondered…

  • Where did braille come from?
  • What does braille look like?
  • Why is braille important?
  • How are braille books produced?
  • How is reading braille different from reading a print book?

During our interactive Braille Awareness workshops, these and many more common questions are addressed.

Participants learn how to spell their name in braille, read from a twin vision book (a dual printed and braille book), see a variety of braille resources, such as card games and tactile globes, and experience some of the challenges vision-impaired individuals experience each day.

Our Braille Awareness Presentations are designed to promote awareness and understanding of braille in our communities and promote inclusion. These sessions are frequently delivered in early childhood centres, schools, libraries, community centres, and for organisations.
