Braille for Print Users Course

This course is designed for print users who want to understand, read, or write Unified English Braille (UEB) by sight (not touch). The course can be completed in person at Braille House, via distance or via zoom or teams.

The course is useful to individuals interested in understanding, reading or writing Unified English Braille, including:

Teachers and teacher aides,
Parents and relatives of braille reading children or adults, and
Carers and other health professionals.

Course Details

Certificate Course in Unified English Braille (UEB)
Duration: 10 weeks (on-site) or 16 weeks (distance mode)
Certificate of Completion issued upon satisfactory completion

Cost

$595.00 (incl. GST)
Includes all instruction, materials, and a manual
Payment options: upfront (EFTPOS or Direct Deposit) or instalments
Perkins machine hire (if required): $90.75* for 3 months

Coursework

Homework exercises submitted throughout the course
Exercises can be completed using:
- Perky Duck (free software download)
- Perkins machine (hire available)
